Workers Compensation catheter insurance in PEI
Workers Compensation Board of PEI pays all reasonable expenses for required medical treatment arising from the work-related injury.
The Workers Compensation Board may provide a range of assistive devices, on the
recommendation of a health care provider, to workers with bi-lateral lower extremity
amputations, hip disarticulations, and serious physical or neurological disabilities such as paraplegia, quadriplegia, and hemiplegia. This includes items required to take care of bowel and bladder functions, such as catheters.
If you were injured at work and as a result need to use catheters for bladder management, your caseworker needs to approve your doctor prescription for catheters.
