      This Catheter Finder will help you choose a catheter based on four simple questions. You may need a different catheter for different situations and therefore, may benefit from using this tool more than once.

      DISCLAIMER

      If you have any concerns or issues with catheter insertion, or if you use a special type of tip, such as a Tiemann/Coudé, you should always consult your nurse or doctor before trying a new type of catheter.  Please note this tool is currently set up for male catheter users only.

      Information about the Catheter Finder

      Catheter Finder is an online test that takes approximately two minutes to complete. It will ask you a few genereric questions about your needs and preferences when catheterizing. It is important to choose a catheter that fits your needs. When you are satisfied with your catheter and it fits into your daily life, there is a better likelihood that you will use your catheters as your nurse or doctor have prescribed. Based on your answers, we will suggest you one or more Coloplast SpeediCath® catheters, which you can sample for free and try at home. The Catheter Finder is a tool for finding a suitable catheter solution whether you are an experienced or new catheter user. Below, you can see the topics we will ask into:

      Catheterization position

      We will ask you about the position in which you catheterize as it has an impact on how flexible and how long the catheter must be or whether a urine bag is needed.

      Catheter sleeve or insertion guide

      We will ask you if you normally or sometimes touch the catheter surface, as we would then recommend you to use a catheter with a sleeve to keep the catheter as clean as possible.

      Compact or straight catheters

      We will ask ask you whether you prefer a compact or straight catheter to suggest a fit based on your needs. Compact catheters, or catheters in a compact packaging, are in general small and discreet compared to standard catheters. Straight catheters are sometimes easier to open and handle for people with reduced hand dexterity.

      A need for a urine bag

      We'll ask you if you need a urine bag, which is used when you cannot drain urine directly into the toilet when catheterising. It can be attached to your catheter (ordered separately) or integrated with your catheter (a catheter set) depending on your country offerings.
