Extended Health Benefits for Seniors Program

Extended Health Benefits for Seniors Program – individuals over 60 are eligible for coverage of eligible prescription drugs, dental services, vision care, medical supplies and equipment. A prescription or written order from a recognized health care professional is required and many supplies require prior approval.

Extended Health Benefits for Specified Disease Conditions Program

Extended Health Benefits for Specified Disease Conditions Program is available for those with specified conditions including Spina Bifida, Spinal Cord Injury (paraplegia/quadriplegia), Ulcerative Colitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Congenital Anomalies of the Urinary System, Crohn’s Disease among others

The Metis Health Benefits Program

The Metis Health Benefits Program provides eligible Indigenous Metis residents of the NWT with extended health benefits including prescription drugs and medical supplies
